Police Commissioner ELECTION - 15th November 2012
On 15 November 2012, for the first time ever, the public across England and Wales will elect a Police and Crime Commissioner who will be accountable for how crime is tackled in their police force areas.
The role of the Police and Crime Commissioner is to cut crime and deliver an effective and efficient police service within their force area. He or she is intended provide stronger and more transparent accountability of the police.
The role of the PCC is to be the voice of the people and hold the police to account.
You can participate in the selection of the Conservative candidate for these elections by attending one of the 3 primaries - 1 in Cornwall.
You must register to attend no later than 4pm Tuesday July 3rd.
When registering to attend applicants must give all their contact details: name (or names if applying for more than one), address, postcode, contact telephone, email and constituency. They must also state which Primary they want to attend.
